This is my ‘semi’ Fourth of July outfit. I didn’t really wear it anywhere except for up to my cabin, but I still had to be somewhat patriotic! I love this blouse though…It’s so fun and bright! So just a simple and short post! Happy Fourth everyone, even if I’m super late posting about it!!!
Blouse – J.Crew Factory; Shorts – J.Crew Factory; Sandals – Urban Outfitters (old, similar here); Sunglasses – Ray-Bans; Watch – Marc by Marc Jacobs; Necklace – Dogeared (similar here); Bracelet – Stella & Dot; Rings – Stella & Dot, By Boe, Hammered Bands (from Soel Boutique)
The Fourth of July is one of my favorite holidays. (I feel like I say this about every holiday! I just love holidays ok! I love getting a day off work, celebrations, good food, and dressing up!) After searching around I found a lot of great things to wear for the 4th! Some are a little crazy and just for fun and some are more classic, so you’ll have to choose which style you want to go for! I’m not sure what I’ll be doing that day yet, but I’m hoping that it involves some sun, hot dogs, and fireworks!
GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!

I love to dress up for holidays…When I’m old and a Grandma I’m totally going to be one of those crazy ladies who wears the patriotic or festive holiday sweaters even when it’s 102 degrees outside (at least it will work for Christmas right?) Whatever, I like to dress up. I think it’s fun.
So here are my Fourth of July outfits from the past few days. The first is what I wore to work on the third.
Shirt – J.Crew; Pants – Forever 21; Earrings – Anthropologie; Bracelets – J.Crew; Ring – Banana (firecracker ring); Shoes – Hinge
Then for our BBQ that night I switched it up to some shorts and sandals…it was just too hot to be in pants.
Shorts – J.Crew; Sandals – Urban Outfitters.
And for the 4th!

BABY YOU’RE A FIREWORK! Well…at least your nails can be right? 🙂
Here are some fun ideas for festive fourth nails! Try pumping it up a notch with glitter and sparkle to match the fireworks on the big night.
You could even recycle these and be Wonder Woman for Halloween 🙂
Tutorial #1: Stars and Stripes (from Teen Vogue Online)
step 1: apply your base, a matte white
step 2: add stripes using a precision polish brush.
step 3: add glitter. once your stripes dry go over again with a glitter polish. can add dry glitter to wet polish, but using glitter polish works better.
step 4: draw a star. using a nail art pen is the easiest way. add gold around the edge or stripes behind for fun effect.
step 5: go over to seal with top coat.
Tutorial #2: Splatter Paint Nails
(You can use any color, but I thought this was fun in red, white, and blue)
What you’ll need:
– 1 paper plate
– Tape and scissors
– A couple of Q-tips
– Nail polish remover
– 1 straw cut in half. Using a shorter straw will give you more control over the splatter.
– Any 3 nail polishes colors.
How to Splatter Nail Paint:
