I am really excited today, because I teamed up with Jalynn over at The Red Closet Diary, who is on her honeymoon, for a guest post! I love this girl and her blog! She has the cutest style and finds the best deals! She is 6 feet tall and makes everything look amazing! Plus, even though she’s tall, she’s not afraid to wear heels still and I love that! I love the way she puts different prints together. Here are a couple of my favorite looks she has worn lately.
Just a quick little post of an outfit that I wore to my friend’s baby shower. It was a little bit rainy this day, but I just can’t wait for spring, so I put on a dress that I got an Anthropologie last year that I was in love with (see here!) and threw on a lightweight sweater over the top so I wouldn’t be too chilly. Had to add my glitter booties too! I almost didn’t get these shoes, but they have been basically my favorite pair of shoes this spring. They go with everything and I love them! Plus I got them on sale! Yay!
Dress (worn as a skirt) – Anthropologie (similar here); Sweater – Forever 21; Booties – BC Footwear; Necklace – Forever 21; Watch – Marc by Marc Jacobs; Bracelet – Baublebar; Earrings – Anthropologie; Rings – David Yurman, Hammered Bands (from Soel Boutique, similar here), my mom’s old ring.
After a rainy and cold few days I’m so glad for sun…it’s windy, but it’s sunny. So I’ll take it. These shorts are from last year, but J.Crew has so many cute shorts right now. I just ordered some and I cannot wait for them to get here. So I broke out this pair from last year because they are one of my favs. They are lightweight and loose and match with everything.
As you can probably tell I have been going through a major J.Crew phase lately. This sweater is also from J.Crew and I can see a lot of wear coming out of it.
Anyway, I’m up for a busy weekend. I have a bachelorette party, a wedding, a baby shower, and then a bridal shower monday…plus I have to catch you all up on the past two weekends of baby and bridal events. I guess I’m at that age where all of my friends are heading off to bigger and better things. Maybe I should get on that 🙂
Blouse – Splendid (similar here); Sweatshirt – J.Crew (in stores); Shorts – J.Crew (old); Shoes – Steven Madden (similar here and here); Bag – Marc by Marc Jacobs; Watch – Michael Kors; Rings – David Yurman, Banana Republic; Earrings – Anthropologie.
This outfit, for me at least, is a great way to dress up, but still be really comfortable. Sometimes I like to get my blouses a size to big, so that they are a little bit loose. That way I can untuck them a little bit or wear them with leggings and they are long enough to cover my little bum. Here I just decided to tuck the front into some kackis from gap for a casual look that I can still wear to work, or wear out to dinner with some friends. You can wear it with pumps like I did or throw on some flats or even Toms to dress it down more. It’s totally up to you!
Blouse – J.Crew; Pants – Gap; Shoes – Kate Spade; Purse – Rebecca Minkoff (similar here); Watch – Michael Kors (similar here); Necklace – Dogeared (aries); Rings – David Yurman, Hammered Bands (from Soel Boutique, similar here)
It’s raining today 🙁 I was planning on doing a big swim post because it’s been so nice and warm again this week and I’ve been getting really excited about the sun! But…I figured I just couldn’t do a swim post on a day like today…maybe tomorrow it will be sunny…let’s just cross our fingers. I also really need to wash my car so let’s hope it doesn’t keep raining too, because I just see no point in washing the inside of my car if I am not going to wash the outside…you know what I mean?
I love this jacket by Go Make Noise. My friend and I were walking around Nordstrom one night and the girl working there brought it in for us to try on…usually I never even pay attention to the stuff they bring in because I’m so lazy and don’t try in half of the stuff I grab anyway, but I was like ok I’ll give it a try and I’m so glad I did. It’s really cute and so comfortable! We both ended up getting it. I think it’s great for spring and will match with some many of my things!

My Uncle got married a few weeks ago, so my family came to town. (See previous post) The reception was at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building and it was really pretty. I wrote about it a little in the post I mentioned before, so I’ll just keep it short! This is what I wore…polka dots! One of my go-tos this spring 🙂
Right now I feel so caught in between wanting to wear fun spring clothes and it still being cold outside! One day we’ll have a perfect, warm, sunny day, and the next it’s snowing again! So this outfit is kind of a funny mix of my want to bring out a spring skirt, but my need to stay warm still! I’m wearing my Hunter “snow” boots, as I like to call them, and a cute sweater I got on sale at Piperlime this winter, with one of J.Crew Factory’s light weight skirts.

I am absolutely in love with this midi skirt by Leifnotes from Anthropologie! I wore it the other day as a spring outfit to church, but the weather decided to be difficult. It was pouring rain! I was up at my grandparents because my family is in town so I didn’t have another outfit. I wanted to save this for a sunny day, but o well! I’m still in love with it. I paired it with my cute little whistle necklace from J.Crew and a striped sweater tee for a nautical feel! I’ll still wear it on a sunny day soon, because I can’t get enough of it!
