Free People Striped Sweater at the Cabin

It’s that time of year again! Sweater Weather! I love an oversized sweater more than anything! Now I’m not too excited about the dropping temperatures, but I love fall and fall clothing. It already snowed last Friday. I am angry…It was only September. That’s way too soon. I did get to pull out some of my sweaters though!

This is another post from up at the cabin. Sweaters and jeans are kind of just perfect for the cabin. Except when it starts snowing you can’t even get there anymore.

Holy Chic Sequins!

I feel like these are the definition of Party Pants. They’re so fun! And of course, the best part is that I got them for $15! Booyah! So I’m really having a party! This is one of those outfits that you can throw on in 5 seconds, but it actually looks like you thought about getting ready that morning. It’s just a tee and basically stretchy leggings. I put on heels because the color makes the outfit pop just that much more.

Tee – Madison & Berkley; Pants – Downeast Outfitters (similar here); Shoes – Steven by Steve Madden; Rings – David Yurman, Banana Republic, Gift from my Dad.

‘Classic’ from Ily Couture

If you haven’t heard of Ily Couture yet, you definitely need to visit their site. They have the cutest jewelry and the most comfortable, yet fashionable sweatshirts and tees! I think I wore this sweatshirt every day for about two weeks when I got it. I love the simplicity, but I think my favorite part is how soft it is inside, which you guys can’t see, so you’ll have to take my word for it. I paired it with one of their necklaces also to dress up the look a little more. I loved the result. Let me know how you guys like it!

Sweatshirt – Ily Couture; Jeans -7 for All Mankind; Shoes – Kate Spade; Necklace – Ily Couture; Rings – David Yurman, Stella & Dot, B.P. Nordstrom.

Skulls and Boots

I’m getting sad because this week I could tell that the nights are already starting to get really cold. You guys might be calling me a wimp already, but 60 degrees is not exactly pleasant! I’m not ready for winter. I love the fall, but winter comes too fast for me every year.

Here is another transition outfit for you though. A super light and short sleeve sweatshirt with some booties. I loved this sweatshirt because I’m really loving studs this year. I also this the graphic is fun too. What trends are you guys loving this fall?

Leopard Print from 3.1 Phillip Lim at Target

I may have gone a little overboard with the 3.1 Phillip Lim for Target Collection, but when I got to the store it was all so cute! This sweater and skirt (and the tank I have underneath) is all from the collection. I feel like you can mix and match a bunch of it so I picked up a few different things. I just LOVE the pattern of this skirt. It’s fun and bright, but can definitely be worn into fall.

The other night I got to meet a few other bloggers from Utah and we had a little girls night. It was so fun to chat with them and hang out! They’re all darling and we had so much in common so it was nice to put the faces of all the girls I follow to an actual person. I can’t wait to hopefully see them all again soon!

Free as a Bird

By now you all know how much I love boots. I don’t just love them in the winter…or the fall…I wear them ALL the time. When I saw these I knew I had to have them. I didn’t care how much or how I got them. BUT! Then I got really lucky and I found them basically half off online AND I got an extra discount with a birthday coupon! I always love when it works out like that.

These photos were taken up at our cabin again. Gorgeous right? Taylor and I went down by the horse pasture, but the horses were way back in the corner, so we just watched them. Ever since I was a baby we’ve been coming up to the cabin and riding the horses. My grandpa and mom taught me how to ride when I was little and I love them. Horses are just the sweetest animals.

I’m mostly a city girl at heart, but I’m in love with this place. I could stay here forever. No cell phone service. You can hike, and ride, and wander forever. You just have freedom and peace here.

Top – Zara; Jeans – Joe’s; Boots – Freebird; Necklace – Free People; Bracelets – Gap, Anthropologie, Anthropologie, Stella & Dot; Rings – Free People, Lauren Wolf, Jewelmint, Jewelmint.

Black Hats, but no Broomsticks

It’s very funny how men and women view fashion so differently. I thought this was a cute outfit…well obviously or I wouldn’t have worn it…but I wore it to work one day and I got quite a few comments from the guys I work with. Let’s see…the first one I got was,

“Hey, did you bring your broomstick too?”

I also got compared to Captain Barbossa (from Pirates of the Caribbean, but I assume most of you know that)…Carmen San Diego (which I’ll take) and something else that I am completely blanking on at the moment, but you get the drift. So what I thought was a cute fall hat turned into a Halloween costume apparently. haha. I liked it and I guess that’s all that matters right? As long as you are comfortable and feel good in what you wear I think that’s all that’s important. Plus, I’m a pretty good sport. Maybe I’ll see what character I can be next week 🙂 IMG_1035_2IMG_1046IMG_1039_2IMG_1044IMG_1036IMG_1037_2IMG_1038_2IMG_1034
