Top Ten Spring Fashion Trends

Here is a little cheat sheet for this springs biggest trends according to People Style Watch Magazine!

1. Colorblocking

You can do this trend with your clothing or your accessories for a bold statement! The Marc by Marc Jacobs dress below is a fu way to color block, while Carey Mulligan, Emmy Rossum, Emma Stone, and Olivia Palermo all show different ways to pull off this trend.

2. Day Clutches

A fun alternative to your everyday handbag. (Plus if you’re anything like me and tote around a giant bag all the time, it will give your shoulder a break!) This spring larger versions of the night clutch are great to carry during the day and more functional.  The first photo shows the Hobo International ‘Katrina’ clutch which goes with anything! Olivia Palermo carries a Hermes day clutch, and while not the best picture of Naomi from 90210, it’s a great example of an oversized clutch. Love the bold color.

3. Ankle-strap Heels

You can opt for a skinny strap or wide, and both with look great for work, casual, or going out attire. Whitney Port shoes a slightly more causal look, while Charlize Theron wears them for a more dressed up look. (also check out the florals section for another sneak peak at some ankle-strap pumps)

4. Mint Green

This pastel color works on almost every skin tone so it is a great trend to pick up! Check out these Hudson Jeans or Cameron in her gorgeous mint mini-dress.

5. Leather

Leather often seems like a winter trend, but Blake Lively shows us a perfect spring jacket and Lauren Conrad proves you can rock it for a night out.

6. Blue & Green Jewelry

This “ocean-inspired” jewelry is gorgeous for the season. Banana republic and Dannijo shown below have amazing collections showing this trend. Eva Mendes wears a beautiful green statement necklace below as well.

7. Florals

You can wear this gorgeous trend on shoes, jewelry, clothing, you name it! It is getting more and more popular than ever!  Check is out on Miranda Kerr, Jessica Alba, and Elizabeth Olsen below.

8. Peplums

Peplums are bringing flirty back! This retro style can be found on dresses, shirts, and skirts! See it on Blake in her cute black and white dress or this printed dress from asos.com.

9. Metallic Heels

You can up your glam factor with metallic heels. Choose from just a tip like Gwyneth Paltrow, to a gold and silver sandals, or a colored shoe like Mila Kunis. The options are endless!

10. Neon

Neon is seriously the best color for summer…it makes you look so tan! Victoria Secret’s site has tons of neon options from this green bathing suit (which fits amazing by the way) to workout tanks to sweats! You can rock the all over neon look like Jennifer Lopez or go for Fergie’s neon pops, with her nails, shoes, and clutch. The neon against black makes it stand out that much more!

Kate Middleton’s Fashion Sense

Kate Middleton’s wardrobe is one that is highly covetable. Let’s face it, her whole life is. I’m pretty sure there are a lot of girls who would love to become a real life princess and have access to the closet she does…the royal jewels…come on! 🙂

In honor of the one year anniversary of her marriage to Prince William, LuckyMagazine.com did a special about her wardrobe choices throughout the year, and I decided to feature some of my favorites. What do you need to be Kate? Fabulous hats, polished dresses, simple sheaths, structured blazers, and a myriad of matching clutches. Take a look and pick our your favorite!

How cute is her St. Patricks Day outfit?

Nautical Kate

While in LA she wore American designer, Diane von Furstenburg.

Wearing tennis whites at Wimbledon.

Now for a little bit a casual Kate…

She looks fabulous even when she’s playing field hockey? Who does that?

She does American Cowgirl better than most people in the USA!

And special events always give way to fabulous dresses, but Kate takes it to another level!

Kate and William at the UK War Horse movie Premium. She’s wearing a gown by Temperley.

In Alexander McQueen at a black tie affair.

Wearing Jenny Packham at a charity function. (Angelina Jolie wore this same dress…Kate wore it better by far!!!)

Another charity event, wearing an Amanda Wakeley gown.

This one if off the rack. You can get it at Beulah.com!

In another Jenny Packham (one of her favorite designers)

What Brit’s wardrobe would be complete without over the top hats? Some of them go crazy, but I love the ones that Kate picks. Very tasteful with amazing designs. Makes me want to move to England just so I can buy myself some hats 🙂

She is so cute…She wore this hate with a maple leaf on it while in Canada for Canada Day!

I’m not sure which one looks better…The Queen in her cute matching pink outfit or Kate’s darling peplum ensemble?

This is my FAVORITE hat! She wore this to a wedding. Are we sure she didn’t upstage the bride?

And the wedding dress that will be remembered by so many for years to come! I’m in love!!! Alexander McQueen, of course.

I think these Laetitia Stanfield bracelets are so cute. They are bright and laid back. So fun for summer!

I would never have anything to wear this to, but I think this dress is gorgeous, especially in the ad below. The detailing is so pretty. (BCBGMAZAZRIA)

If you couldn’t tell, I have been obsessing over perfumes lately. I have been gaining quite the collection. Anyway, I have really liked this smell for a while now and it was 40% off in the store, so I thought, why not right? You may think Ann Taylor would smell totally grandma, but I promise it’s not. Try it!

I need this ring. If anyone knows where to find one like it, PLEASE let me know!!!

Love the design and pattern of this couch.

Haute Hippie “Gypsy” Sheer Polka Dot Silk Blouse – Nordstrom.com
