I love mixing prints lately. I bought both of these pieces at the Anthropologie in Las Vegas, but wore them together while I was in my mini-trip down in San Diego with my family. I thought it was just a fun little outfit for warm weather. This top with the birds was calling my name from the moment I saw it online. I think mint green is just my all time favorite color and I’m slightly obsessed with birds. So cute!
Also, I apologize for fuzzy pictures. I brought my good camera down to San Diego and I left the battery in Utah charging in the wall! I was so mad. So these are from my iphone, which usually takes good pictures. I’m not sure if it was because it was starting to get dark or because it’s wet by the beach, but they didn’t come out that great!

This was my favorite book so far this summer. I love Dan Brown. (He’s the one who wrote The Da Vinci Code and Angels and Demons). I like his books because they have a lot of history and art in them, but then they have an interesting story to go with it. Sometimes (ok most of the time) they are a little over the top, but I like them anyway. Except they always make me want to travel too and then I just get jealous. (Especially because two of my good friends are in Italy right now seeing all of the stuff from this book!)
Anyway, this was a good one. Robert Langdon is the main character again, like in two books I mentioned above. He is summoned to Italy to help solve yet another huge mystery. He teams up with doctor, Sienna Brooks, to decode a series of clues based off of Dante’s Divine Comedy put together by a crazed scientist with plans to release something similar to the Black Plague. Now obviously I can’t give too much away or it wouldn’t be worth it to read the book, but I definitely recommend it because it keeps you on the edge of your seat the whole time. I guess now the next step for me is to visit Italy 🙂
This is my ‘semi’ Fourth of July outfit. I didn’t really wear it anywhere except for up to my cabin, but I still had to be somewhat patriotic! I love this blouse though…It’s so fun and bright! So just a simple and short post! Happy Fourth everyone, even if I’m super late posting about it!!!

Beach Day! So I obviously took my bag and my hat. Just give me a good book and I’ll sit out there all day. (Don’t worry, I got in the water! I’m not afraid to get my hair wet.)
I love the beach…I love all the colors you get out there. In the morning it’s nice and calm and it’s just the beach and the sand, but by the afternoon it’s covered with bright towels, chairs, and umbrellas. It just reminds me of being a little girl. We used to come down here every summer and I would sit on my little beach chair and watch my dad boogie board with my uncles. I was for sure a beach baby.
